I'm Przemyslaw Kalka, a front-end systems engineer based in London, building real-time risk and trading interfaces across FX, fixed income, derivatives, and commodities.

That corner of front-end has its own physics. Input rate, render rate, and compute rate are three separate clocks. p99 frame time matters more than the mean. A worker round-trip, a GC pause, or a stale async result can each put a number on screen the market never held. Most of it lives as desk folklore rather than written method. I work at the seam of two things that rarely sit together, trading-desk domain and front-end systems depth, and that combination is what this site is about.

I write here about profiling and fixing interfaces that never stop updating, and turn the methods into open-source projects you can read and run.
